Some small confusion surrounds the attendance at the EFDSS Royal Albert Hall Festival of this group. Their appearance is mentioned in the notes to the 1952 programme (included lelow for completeness) however they do not appear in the running order that year.
However they do appear the following year and it is probably the case that they had to withdraw at a late stage in 1952 but were able to attend the following year.
The musician was Bob Cann and we believe that leslie Rice was the main step dancer. A “young dancer” also performed the monkey hownpipe, however his identity is unknown. The group was probably formed especially for the performance at the Royal Albert Hall.
