Members of Instep worked as a collecting team in the early 1980s, sharing notes and other materials. The work of this team covered mainly Northumberland and Durham, but material was also obtained from informants at workshops and occasionally elsewhere. Much of the material was used in the publication of the Newcastle Series of booklets, however some remains unpublished.
We have only just begun to make these notes available and will be adding material as the website develops.
